Pitch Feedback For my pitch to the club owner i will write below his advice and what he thought was good about the event. Advice -  His advice was for me to look further into this and try to get more locations as he thought the demand would be more so maybe do more than one night. Try to get more local funding. What was good about the event -  He listened to both musicians music and loved the indie rock vibe that was coming from them ad thought they would gel good together and have the same type of fan base. He also liked the way I had planned everything and how I tried to get in contact with the Junction as it showed that i was interested and wanted to know more. He also liked the ticket and poster designs i had made. Pitch I thought for more of a professional and realistic touch I would pitch my idea to a club owner who was in one of my options for where the event was going to be presented.  This club is called the Q Club which is in Cambridge. My brother is good friends with the owner and I was able to talk to him for advise and his view on the event and how he thought it could be improved.  The images below are of my pitch that I showed him on my laptop and I will now show my teacher Barney Oram.

P4/M2: Learners plan a new live UK music event

Planning As you can see in the above screenshot, I have created a brainstorm diagram that showcases the planning behind a showcase for a Barns Courtney gig in Cambridge. I have listed out all of the important details that would be considered and what would be best for the artist in terms of the style of the gig and also in terms of the best way of gaining as much publicity as we possibly can to get his name out there more. The reason I have chosen Cambridge as the location for this gig is because he has never performed in Cambridge and he is currently touring around the US.  I feel that while he still isn't as well known, it would be a great time to get him to do a number of smaller gigs all around the UK to get his name out there and to get him a bit more recognition in order to be able to do larger tours with larger crowds and more recognition. BARNS COURTNEY A: Record Label Barns Courtney is with Capitol / Virgin records. He was in a band (SleeperCell) before getting recognised and was also in a music label but was dropped after a year or two which left him working for a small electric shop. However he was in another band called Dive Bella Dive who were signed to Island Records and performed at Download fest in 2012. However they were also dropped after their music weren't released.
